Slow Cooked Fig Chutney

A perfect example of the alchemy of chutney making at its finest. Cartwright & Butler slowly and very gently cook down ripe figs and sharp apples in dark brown sugar and mellow Modena balsamic vinegar, spiced with cinnamon. The result is a chutney that showcases the jammy, sweet uniqueness of figs. The perfect accompaniment to many cold meats and cheeses, although Cartwright & Butler’s particular favourites are Parma ham and a sharp Lancashire cheese.

Ingredients:

Figs (26%/), Apple, Dark Brown Sugar, Sugar, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (6%) (Wine Vinegar, Concentrated Grape Must, Colour Caramel (E150d), Potassium Metabisulfite (E224)), Malt Vinegar (from Barley), Red Dry Vine (2%), Ground Cinnamon, Salt.
